Dr, Andre Brillaud has been a member of the Landfall Writers Group (LWG) for four years. During that time, he has published three books, The Autograph Book, written with co-author Myrna Brown, Beach Music and Traveling the World. The first book addressed the development of the Irish Republican Army (IRA) in Ireland, Beach Music’s theme is barbershop singing and Traveling the World, introduces readers to incredible tourist-worthy sites worldwide.

Prior to joining LWG, he published many medical and scientific articles, but never wrote any books or stories dealing with non-scientific issues. He was born in New York City in 1929. He studied at Kansas University and Michigan State and other major educational institutions. His interests have been varied, including involvement in compassionate directories, such as the Salvation Army and other public and higher educational organizations. He has acted in many small theatres, and sung formany years with chorales and barbershop groups, and was lead singer in a barbershop quartet for over fifteen years.

He was active in the Korean War and was stationed at Tripler Hospital as a surgical assistant. He retired from Bristol Myers in 1991 as Vice President, responsible for clinical trial testing of oncology drugs.

He has been married for over seventy-one years to his beloved spouse, Joan, and they have five children, several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He and Joan have lived in Wilmington. North Carolina since 1992. He plays golf a few times a week, and is active in community affairs.
