Sarah Hardman Giachino, is a former Board of Director for the United Service Organizations of North Carolina (USO-NC) and lives in Wilmington NC. Her passion is to serve the military andis a lifetime member of the 30th Infantry Division Association.

She has published two stories that honor the courage of our veterans featured in Chicken Soup for the Veterans Soul and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Military Families and local military interest articles in Intracoastal Magazine. She is currently working on a book of love letters written between her parents in WWll called Do You Remember My Voice, a treasure of preserved correspondence describing the daily life of sacrifice, dedication and intimacy between a United States Army Infantry Officer who served in the European Theater of Operation and his wife who were separated for 18 months by World War 2 during 1944-45. Sarah has returned to significant archeological and historical sites in France, Holland, Belgium, and Germany relative to the dates of the letters.

She currently facilitates a public social media page on Facebook called, Do You Remember My Voice. Each post follows the letters written 80 years ago to the day or week they were written. To her knowledge, there is no other complete and comprehensive collection in existence of daily love letters that exist from this period of American History. Sarah would love to hear your WW2 story!
