My second book, “Experiences along My Journey…Stories from a Life Well-Lived” includes a variety of short stories from the middle part of my life. Many of these stories are why I originally started writing my books. I didn’t want them to be lost to future generations of my family. Along the way, I discovered a lot of other people who know me also wanted to hear them because the stories are all true. In addition to regular tales, they include funny happenings and silly pranks pulled on me and others. While sitting at family gatherings over the years, I was many times asked to tell and retell true stories from my life that we had already laughed about on different occasions. A lot of the time my children were either too young or busy playing in another area and never heard them. I figured the best thing to do was to write them down on paper where they would eventually be published. In this collection, I tell about experiences just after graduating from high school, all through college and on into my work life that spanned thirty years. Some of the happenings while I was in college are the wildest and to me the funniest. I can’t read them without smiling and sometimes laughing. Many are now a little embarrassing, but worth retelling because they really happened. It’s all part of who I was and who I am today. My unique humor has been, in my opinion, one of my strong points. It’s carried me through some hard times. In the end, it explains why I feel it’s been a life well-lived. After finishing this second book, be sure to read the other three in this four part series about my life. I think you will enjoy them all. The first book contains stories about growing up very poor in a loving family, the third one is about my adult life with much more seriousness and reflection, and the fourth one contains ten trips I’ve made around the world to foreign countries while successfully participating in World Masters track and field Championships, two safaris to Africa, dinosaur fossil hunting in the Andes Mountains of Argentina, salmon fishing in British Columbia, plus other interesting trips to China, South Korea, Australia, Brazil, Belize and Bonaire.
