W. Jack Bostrom is a native Southerner born in the then small, port-city town of Wilmington, North Carolina. Raised by loving parents during the desolate and difficult years following World War II, he was allowed to range from the homeplace, as most children did in those days, and to seek adventure as he wished. Early on, with old bicycle and cane pole, he took advantage as such freedom that developed into an appreciation for a lifetime...fishing.

Reflections of Magnificent Waters is a small, personal collection of select stories that put him in some fantastic fishing environments. All selections are true; none created from fantasy. As such, his writing was for the purpose of preserving those, once experienced, beautiful outdoor events, nothing else. To him, each trip was special. This personal assemblage of select “rod and reel time” doesn’t cover such outings witnessed during his life, but possibly those chosen were some of the best of his remembrances committed to paper. By entering these pages is to become a supportive companion with the author during his exciting angling heritage.
